Peebles Parking Group consists of local elected Councillors, representatives of Peebles Community Council, Peebles Traders Association and Council Roads Officers.

In the East Station (Edinburgh Road) car park visitors are presently charged to park on a Saturday only and Kingsmeadows car park is presently free parking 7 days.
The Peebles Parking Group is keen to gauge views on extending parking charges in East Station and Kingsmeadows Road.
Any surplus money raised from parking charges is retained within the Peebles community and spent on improvements such as better visitor information, some environmental work (flower beds and baskets) and promotion of the Town for visitors. The spend of this surplus may be assessed and administered by a panel of Councillors and community representatives.
Proposed parking charges: 50p up to 2 hours, £1.50 between 2-4 hours, £3.00 between 4-6 hours, £5 for 6 hours or more. Residents can purchase an annual parking permit for £26 Visitors, (non-Scottish Borders resident) annual permit £41.50, monthly permit £10.30
