Caddonfoot Road Temporary Closure
Overview
As part of the SUSTRANS Spaces for People Project to encourage active travel during the Covid pandemic the Council restricted vehicle access on the Caddonfoot Road to allow pedestrians, cyclists and other wheeled users to make use of the road to access the playing field and to exercise in general.
As there is insufficient space in the verge to provide a pavement from Clovenfords to Caddonfoot or to the playing field the Council is keen to gather the experiences of the public and determine if there is demand to re-open the road to motor vehicles or to keep it closed to through vehicles.
Regardless of the outcome the road will continue to be maintained by the Council.
