Proposed Land Sale - Earlston

Overview

Scottish Borders Council (SBC) is proposing to sell a small section of land, extending to approximately 0.23 acres shown in red on the aerial plan below.

The Council was approached by several third parties enquiring about the status of this land. It is anticipated that the land will be used in conjunction with the adjoining proprietor’s land.

The area of land was previously maintained by SBC's Parks and Environment Department until 2023 when Earlston in Bloom were given permission to rewild the area. Please note that this area does not form part of key green space.

Before a decision is made on the proposed sale, the results of this consultation will be considered as part of the Council’s assessment of whether the disposal should proceed.

If you object to the proposal, please provide details explaining the reasons for your objection. Please note that all comments received as part of the consultation will be published alongside the consultation outcome, this will be done anonymously.
