Overview

Every year we are asked to respond to the national survey from the Family and Childcare Trust. 

The information enables them to calculate average childcare prices, and availability levels, throughout the UK. The figures are used by UK governments, by the media, by some providers and by research organisations. They also use them to make sure that their work at the Family and Childcare Trust is based on accurate data.

The responses we provide will only be used to calculate averages for Scotland, and (where comparison is possible) for the UK as a whole. They will not name individual local authorities or providers in their report.
