Scottish Borders Council is proposing to relocate Galashiels Acdemy to a campus site comprising the existing Academy site and extending into Scott Park, Galashiels. This proposal will see the creation of a new secondary school and additional support needs setting comprised in a new campus, including a swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool and sports facilities for use by the whole community. Borders residents are being urged by cross-party politicians to complete a new survey and help shape the next Council budget, due to be set in February 2023.
The survey also provides Borderers with the opportunity to provide feedback on a number of other areas, including public transport, health and social care and the development of local plans within communities.
