Cardrona Public Transport Survey

Overview

The purpose of this survey is to identify level of interest in Cardrona Village in any potential changes to public transport to the village.

Cardrona Village is served each half hour with the Nr X62 Borders Bus which calls at Nashy’s roundabout in both directions – to Edinburgh and to Galashiels.

Extending the X62 into the village is no longer being considered.

Adjusting a scheduled service is not possible, so we are now looking into alternative solutions.

This survey is being carried out by members of the Cardrona Community and is being hosted through Scottish Borders Councils Citizen Space portal.  Feedback from this survey will be used by Scottish Borders Council transport team and shared directly with members of the Cardrona Community to further understand the demand for potential changes to public transport, in Cardrona.

If you are completing a (physical) paper version of this survey you will be given a stamped addressed envelope on application. Please post it by 28 May 2026 to make sure it is received by the closing date of 1 June 2026.

The survey is split into the following 3 sections.

Section 1:        About you

Section 2:        About your public transport usage

Section 3:        Demand for public transport services between Cardrona and Peebles

We appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey.
