Play Space Improvements – Greenlaw Play Park
Overview
Scottish Borders Council is spending almost £5 million to enhance play facilities across the region over a seven-year period. The plan is to improve outdoor activity for all children and young people. SBC currently has 159 play parks ranging from smaller local areas for play to destination play parks. A programme of investment has been developed based on previous improvements to play areas and community spaces to provide children and young people with meaningful play opportunities. To help ensure this is achieved, play parks will include items that are accessible for all, such as wheelchair roundabouts, multi-play units, basket swings and play panels.
Activity has been ongoing to upgrade play parks in various sites across the Scottish Borders. The play park at Greenlaw is now due to receive its refurbishment and this survey is to find out what improvements you would like to see in this play space.
The online consultation is being run alongside a series of face-to-face community events in Greenlaw.
Why your views matter
SBC would like your views on how the play facilities can be improved to help shape the future of these play spaces for children and young people. We are now holding a public consultation to seek the views of the community as to what play equipment/features you would like to see installed in this area.
