Scottish Borders Council Budget Consultation for 2025-26

Each year, Scottish Borders Council delivers overs £400m worth of services. It will also deliver a capital investment plan of £454m across the region over the next 10 years.  Everyone who lives or works in the Scottish Borders has an interest in how that money is spent and the Council has a duty to spend that money wisely and ensure best value. 

This document explains how decisions are made, how money is spent, and how you can contribute to the process of decision-making.  But first, let's look at where the money comes from.
