Alcohol in Public Places
Overview
This consultation is being carried out to help inform the Council in considering if there are areas in the Scottish Borders where drinking alcohol in a public place should not be allowed.
Why your views matter
Scottish Borders Council works with the Local Licensing Board to meet the 5 licensing objectives as set out in the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. The 5 licensing objectives are:
- Preventing Crime and Disorder
- Securing Public Safety
- Protecting and Improving Public Health
- Preventing Public Nuisance
- Protecting Children and Young Persons from Harm
We would like your help to identify if there are any areas in the Scottish Borders where drinking alcohol in a public place should not be allowed.
