Eddleston Primary Mothball Review Survey 2025

Closes 1 Jun 2025

Opened 9 May 2025

Overview

Eddleston Primary School was mothballed in 2022 as the numbers attending dropped to a very low level, necessitating a temporary mothballing of the school in the hope that demand for the school may increase to allow it to reopen.

As part of the review of mothballed status, Scottish Borders Council is committed to an annual survey of parents of primary school age and pre -school aged children ( including babies and toddlers) in the Eddleston Primary School catchment area to assess the viability of the primary school being reinstated.

We also wish community views from those in the Eddleston area about the school and how to increase the demand and viability of the school.
