Holidays and In Service days for the academic years 2021/2022 to 2025/26
Overview
The Council is seeking your views on the school holidays and In Service days for future academic years 2021/22 to 2025/26; ending June 2026.
Why your views matter
We are consulting so that parents, pupils, staff, parent councils, local businesses and anyone else with an interest can inform future academic years 2021/22 to 2025/26.
Feedback from families has indicated difficulties with childcare arrangements when holiday weeks are split and In Service days are not linked to holidays. Option B is an attempt to address these concerns.
We are proposing 2 options:
Option A: Current pattern of holidays and In Service days
Option B: Changes to pattern to link In Service days with holidays
The preferred option will inform the school term dates for the next 5 years 2021/22 to 2025/26.
