Mainstreaming Equality in Scottish Borders Council and the Scottish Borders

Closed 7 Mar 2021

Opened 20 Jan 2021

Scottish Borders Council has an Equalities Mainstreaming Report (2017 -2021) which sets out its approach to Equalities. This includes a set of Equalities Outcomes (changes we want to make).

The Equalities Mainstreaming Report now needs to be replaced with a new one which covers the period 2021 – 2025.   We need your views in order to make sure we cover all aspects of equality and diversity in the Scottish Borders.

The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

Thank you for taking the time to contribute to this priority area for Scottish Borders Council.  Your views are important to us.  All feedback will be considered and will assist us with the development of our Equalities Mainstreaming Report 2021 – 2025.

Why your views matter

We would like to hear your views on how the Council is performing on equality and diversity matters and what improvements it can make over the next four years. This would include things that we are doing well, areas that need to be improved and your views on the Council’s Equality Outcomes .

The survey talks about protected groups - by this we mean people or groups who identify with one of the protected groups detailed in the Equality Act 2010. These are:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender reassignment
  • Marriage and civil partnership
  • Pregnancy and maternity
  • Race
  • Religion or belief
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation

  • All Areas

  • Anyone from any background
