Have Your Say - Placemaking and Community Engagement Sign Up

Closes 24 Feb 2026

Contents

The form is set out as a sign up for updates from Scottish Borders Council on our Place Making work, and engagement opportunities in your area.

You must complete section one to allow that sign up to take place.

There is the option to provide us with further detail about yourself - to help us understand how our engagement is reaching different memebers of our communities, to ensure we are hearing different view points.

There is also an option to tell us about your previous experiences of engaging with Scottish Borders Council, and other community groups, so we can understand how much people know about the options available to them, to access information and action ideas in their areas.

All of this will help us, to help you, to have your say!

At the end of each section you will be taken back to the contents page to complete another section, or complete your submission.

We are asking for permission to contact you in line with GDPR - this is where we cannot send you updates and information without your consent - and we want everyone to know what's going on in their area so we can create empowered communitites!

We only use your data to get in touch with you about what is happening in your area, and how you can get involved

You can read our full data protection policy here

If you would like to tell us a little about yourself, the information we collect is used to understand who we are reaching within communties, and to work out how we can make the opinions of the less heard, more visible.  This is so our community engagement is representative of all the Scottish Borders residents - whether you are an active member of a community group - an individual who feels under represented - or a young person concious of the changes happening in your area - we want to hear from you.

You can read more about our Public Sector Equality Duty here

Ultimately we want to keep you informed - and share knowledge to empower you and your community.  We have some ideas about how we can do this - but would love to hear how you want us to do this - reaching everyone in the process.
